Our fourth group of students visited our sister school, Rystensteen Gymnasium in Copenhagen. Our visit included multiple social exchanges, where the students debated everything from politics to food. NIS students participated in English classes, where we analyzed and discussed both Danish and Egyptian literature. The students also had a chance to visit some of Denmark’s most memorable sights, including the UNESCO Heritage site, Kronborg Castle and the famous amusement park, Tivoli Garden.
Despite the freezing cold, our students got a warm Danish welcome by their hosts and the teachers at the school. We were very pleased by how well this group jumped right into the new cultural experiences, with respect and trust. Some of our students are already planning to return to Copenhagen as soon as they can. We can say with confidence, that the trip was a success!
